Hello, my name is Carol.
There are times for everyone when our normal ways of coping don't seem like enough.
You don't have to feel alone when life feels challenging or overwhelming. I offer mental health support in a confidential, warm, non-judgemental space where you will feel heard, valued, and accepted for who you are.
It takes courage to seek support, and I work collaboratively at your pace to help you with personal development and to develop positive changes in your life. I am passionate about therapeutic counselling and empowering people to reach their personal goals, express their individuality, overcome challenges, and enjoy life.

Anxiety, bullying, and family issues can deeply impact mental health support, while carers often face challenges related to depression and grief and loss. Feelings of guilt and shame may arise from isolation or loneliness, especially during significant life transitions. Finding meaning and purpose in such times is crucial, particularly after experiences like miscarriage or when navigating neuro-diversity. Many people struggle with not flourishing or feeling stuck, and they may experience pain or illness that affects their self-esteem. Relationship difficulties and trauma can further complicate personal development. Therapeutic counselling can provide essential support for those dealing with termination or other distressing experiences.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I specialize in providing mental health support through my training as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, allowing me to offer a unique tailored approach that meets the personal development needs of individual clients by drawing on my knowledge of various counselling models. My work is grounded in Person-Centred principles, focusing on building a strong therapeutic counselling relationship based on respect, empathy, warmth, and authenticity. Additionally, I incorporate tools and techniques from CBT, Mindfulness, Inner Child work, and creative approaches. My training included providing counselling for a baby-loss charity, working in an NHS GP practice, and supporting 16–18-year-olds. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the voluntary sector, social services, and education, assisting vulnerable adults and children.
